Phyllophaga sp.

I have many childhood memories of June Bugs hanging out by our porch light at night.  Sometimes there were so many in June that we would try to speed up our entry into our house so that they didn’t keep flying into you.

I haven’t see quite as many since I moved to Massachusetts, but I found this one in my garden during the day under an inch of soil.
